BVI Lose Bronze To St. Vincent In Volleyball Tournament

BVI U23 Female Volleyball team

(PLTM) - The British Virgin Islands' under 23 volleyball team suffered defeat in a bronze medal match against the team from St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) U23 Female Volleyball Tournament, hosted at the Vide Boutielle Secondary School tennis court in St. Lucia on August 14th.

In the round which determined the 3rd place winner, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) defeated the BVI in every game--- 25-9 to SVG, 25-18 to SVG, 25-22 to SVG.

In an earlier game, though defeated yet again by St. Vincent and the Grenadines, BVI managed to secure a game of their own--- 23-25 to SVG, 23-25 to SVG, 25-22 to BVI and 17-25 to SVG.

The tournament was won by St. Lucia, with second place going to Antigua.
