(PLTM) - Richard Thomas of Parham Town could face time in prison after he was allegedly found with cannabis and cannabis seedlings.
Thomas pleaded guilty to the charges of unlawful cultivation of cannabis plants and possession of a controlled drug in his appearance at the Magistrate's Court on September 2nd 2016.
According to the details of the matter, Thomas and Wilbert Pickering were found with 10.37 grams of cannabis on June 26th 2015, and 610 seedling plants were found on the premises of Thomas on June 27th 2015. Both incidents occurred in Parham Town.
Thomas is the only one who will face the hand of the law, as Pickering was found not fit to plea.
Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste DaBreo, who presided over the court’s proceedings, stated that the case against Pickering would likely be dismissed, especially because it involves a non-violent offence.
Thomas will make another appearance before the court for sentencing on September 22nd 2016. He is represented by Ms. Ruthilia Maximea.
