(PLTM) - A Jamaican woman is accused of beating another woman in public on Friday, September 2 on Waterfront Drive in Road Town.
Police arrested and charged Yvonne Witter, 45, of Purcell Estate, with being armed with an offensive weapon and unlawful and malicious wounding.
She was granted police bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety.
According to information, Witter approached and attacked the complainant while she was at Waterfront Drive by hitting her about the body, including blows to her face.
The woman received a cut under her eye and was taken to Peebles hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
It is believed that the two know each other. Details surrounding the assault will be outlined when Witter appears in court on November 11.
