(PLTM) - Gregory Alleyne and Shaun Scatliffe, both of Sea Cows Bay, were arrested and charged for the robbery of a male outside the Sports Club in Pasea Estate last Tuesday, October 18.

The two assailants, one with a firearm, allegedly approached the victim while he was inside his parked vehicle and robbed him of his watch, cellular phone and cash.

During the robbery, they struck him in his head, causing injury.

The officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force were commended by Commissioner of Police, Mr. Michael Matthews for their swift action in apprehending the two suspects in less than a week of the incident.

A male was robbed at gunpoint by two assailants while sitting in his vehicle, parked outside the sports club in Pasea Estate yesterday afternoon, October 18. The victim, who was robbed of his wrist watch, cellular phone and cash, also suffered a head injury as a result of one of the assailants striking him. According to information from the RVIPF, one of the perpetrators is described as heavy and approximately 6’, while other is around 5’ and slim. Both were described as between the ages of 25 and 27 years old. Police are appealing to the public for information that could help with inquiries into this incident. Persons can contact CID through the RVIPF 311 or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. Persons can also report the information anonymously to Crimestoppers through its Miami-based hotline number 800-TIPS (8477).
