(PLTM) - Persons within the Territory are alarmed, having received word of the possibility of bandits posing as Flow servicemen, going door to door and robbing homeowners.

A message warning residents was circulated via various social media platforms, urging residents to deny these persons entrance to their homes.

Flow BVI explained to BVI Platinum News that although the company has contracted technicians, all are equipped with proper documentation, signifying their association with the company, in addition to driving a company vehicle.

“In order to ensure the safety of residents, we would ask that anyone that is claiming to be a Flow service person be asked to show their ‘Service Order’, which will either be in paper format or digitally on their phone. Both Flow technicians and LVG technicians, who are contracted by Flow, will carry this documentation. All LVG and Flow technicians will also be driving a Flow or LVG branded vehicle.”

The company added that persons who are not customers of Flow or are not expecting a Flow technician for repair, should immediately be on alert and deny these persons access to their property.

Flow BVI expresses their deepest concern regarding this matter.

BVI Platinum News also contacted the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, who indicated that no reports relative to the matter have been made.
