Update: Three Rescued From Sinking Boat

(PLTM) - Three persons were rescued from a sinking vessel that was reported missing earlier today, October 22, 2016.

According to the Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR), at the time of rescue, the boat was taking on water and had already began to sink.

The occupants of the boat, which had left Anegada before its disappearance, were taken back to Anegada on VISAR’s vessel.

A team from the Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) is currently deployed in the Virgin Islands' waters looking for a boat that was reported missing earlier today, Ocotober 22.

Information as to the identity and number of occupants on board are unknown at this time.

Sources told BVI Platinum News that the vessel left Anegada before its disappearance.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
