BVI Ranked 203 on FIFA International Standings list

(PLTM) - In an International Standing list disseminated by world football organization FIFA, the British Virgin Islands is ranked among the bottom of the charts, sharing rank with Andorra for the 203rd spot overall out of 211 countries.

The list, which includes teams from all around the world and of various confederations, was made available on October 12.

Among the Caribbean countries featured on the list, the Territory is ranked 18th out of 20 countries, with Trinidad and Tobago topping the list, as they are ranked in the 65th spot overall. St. Kitts and Nevis ranked in the 73rd spot overall and holds 2nd in the Caribbean, with Jamaica right after, ranking in the 75th spot overall.

Below the BVI are Anguilla and the Bahamas, who were both ranked in the 205th spot, sharing it with 5 other countries.

Highest on the list in the top ten positions are Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Columbia, Chile, France, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain.

The ranking system is based on a calculation scheme formulated by FIFA, where any team that does well in world football wins points, which enable them to climb the world ranking.
