Sir Richard Branson on Erin Burnett OutFront, October 25

(PLTM) - World renowned entrepreneur and Belonger of the British Virgin Islands, Sir Richard Branson, in an attempt to expose presidential candidate Donald Trump, shared his views on live television with CNN’s news anchor Erin Burnett, highlighting his reasons why Trump is not a good fit for the White House. Sir Richard made a guest appearance on last night’s episode of Erin Burnett OutFront, October 25 on CNN.

In an explanation, Sir Richard stated that after personally viewing and having experienced Trump’s personality first hand, he knew he [Trump] was not fit for to be President and thought it best to speak out and let other persons know the side of Trump that is yet seen.

“When I first got to know him many years ago when he invited me for lunch, it was just the two of us. I was expecting an interesting lunch talking about things in the world. Instead, I got a lunch where all he talked about was his bankrupt companies and how he went to five persons to get financial help and they weren’t willing to help him.”

Sir Richard added, “He [Trump] spent the rest of the time telling me how he would spend the rest of his life destroying those five people.”

It was on this note Sir Richard expressed that after seeing Trump running for the presidency, he knew how dangerous it was to have someone as vindictive as Trump in the White House.

He said, “And for the first time in my life, I thought I want to speak out and let people who believe that Trump is wonderful know that there is a side to Trump that is dangerous and rather unpleasant and certainly unforgiving.”

“I found it very bizarre. Someone so eaten up with themselves. I don't mind an entrepreneur running the White House, but not this entrepreneur.”

His Brand Is Damaged

Highlighting the obvious, Burnett noted that Trump’s experience as a businessman is the main reason why persons believe he would be a good President. Burnett then questioned Sir Richard on whether or not Donald Trump is a successful entrepreneur, in addition to his [Sir Richard] thoughts on the impacts Trump’s businesses would face post-election, if he loses.

“Sir Richard, you’ve tried out a lot of things, some of them have failed, you talk a lot about this and recently wrote about it—‘Making mistakes and experiencing setbacks is a part of the DNA of every successful entrepreneur and I am no exception’. What do you think of Donald Trump; is he a successful entrepreneur? If he doesn’t win, what happens to his businesses; do you think any damage, if any would be long term because of his run for the White House?”

Sir Richard noted that he does not think Trump is a great businessman, adding that Trump did not start his career as an entrepreneur, as he has received a lump sum from his father.

“Trump didn’t start out as an entrepreneur, he started out with lots of money given to him by his father and he went ahead and lost it on a number of occasions. His top company is not one or two new ventures he was setting up. I don’t think he is a great businessman. He definitely manages to build a strong brand with Trump, which I suspect has been pretty damaged over the last few months. He has done some very questionable things in business.”

Sir Richard stated that after the US general elections on November 8, possibly seeing a loss in Trump’s camp, his [Trump] businesses will be badly damaged.

He explained that the types of people who normally patronise the services offered by Trump’s many companies are not xenophobic nor racist individuals.

“He is appealing to the worst fears in people. I would say his brand is very badly damaged. I’m sure he’s not going to go hungry, but in his run for the White House, because of many things he said, his brand is very very different today than it was six months ago.
