(PLTM) - Francisco Calderon became irate after he came home and met all his clothes at the front door, already packed. He is charged with assault causing actual bodily harm as a result of him beating up the mother of his child.
Calderon made an appearance earlier this month at the Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded not guilty to the offense.
The particulars provided by the crown outlined that on February 26th 2016, the accused arrived at his Paraquita Bay apartment, which he shared with the mother off his toddler daughter.
Having arrived home, he met his bags packed and stationed at the front door for him to leave.
The court heard that this made the accused very angry, resulting in him chasing her through the house, grabbed her by her hair, dragged her from her room and began choking her.
The court heard that the victim managed to escape and ran outside to the parking lot for help.
Calderon followed her and allegedly grabbed her and dragged her along the road, taking her back into the apartment where he started choking her again.
The incident was reported to the police by a neighbor who witnessed it all.
While under police questioning, the accused stated that he was provoked by the victim.
He was offered $30,000 bail with one surety and is scheduled to make another appearance on January 31st 2017.
