(PLTM) - Following a lead on who robbed his mother’s house, Nyron Erickson of Carrot Bay was arrested and charged for holding up a man at gunpoint and ordering him to get into his [accused] vehicle.

In an appearance before the Magistrate's Court earlier this month, Erickson pleaded not guilty to the charges of criminal assault and possession of a firearm with intent to put another in fear.

According to the Crown, represented by Melissa Brewley, on July 21, the accused appeared in front the victim’s home and sent a message, indicating that he [victim] should come outside.

Once outside, Erickson began accusing the man of burglarizing his mother’s house, then pulled out a gun and demanded the victim get into a nearby vehicle. The victim refused, which was followed by the accused slapping him.

In an interview with officers, when questioned about the incident, Erickson said, “I have nothing to say about that.”

He was offered $50,000 bail, signed surety and is scheduled to make another appearance on February 7th 2017.
