Islanders Still On Top In Men’s Football League

Rohan Lennon, who after a battling first half performance, picked himself up to score in the second half as the Islanders beat the Wolues 4-0.

(PLTM) - The Islanders continue to dominate this year’s BVI Football Association Men’s League, with their recent 4 nil win against Old Madrid over the weekend, November 12.

Islanders top players, Devon Letteen, Fitzroy Daley, Kern Mitchel and Kevon Smith were responsible for their win, which also keeps them at the top of the chart in first place.

The Sugar Boys secured second place with their recent 3-1 win over the Wolues, thanks to goals from Michael Castello, Terrance Nanton and a penalty from Roger Roberts.

The last game of the weekend amongst the men saw a draw between the Panthers and VG United with 2-2.

Devante Samuel scored twice for VG United, while Keon Liburd scored in the first half for Panthers and Garnet Ferron scored a late equalizer in the 93rd minute of the game.

The women also took to the field for the weekend, which resulted in the Avenger Ladies defeating the Panthers Women 5-0. The high energy game saw goals coming from Brittany Peters and Makeda Fahie.

VG United girls also got a taste of victory, with a 2-1 win over Ballstarz.
