Update: Businessman Shot In Attempted Robbery

(PLTM) - The owner of the Lubricant Store in Vanterpool Estate, Long Look was shot last evening, December 2, during an attempted robbery which took place after 10:00 pm by a masked male.

The victim is currently being treated at Peebles Hospital for a wound to his arm.

Police have confirmed that nothing was taken from the premises.

Investigations continue.

This incident closely follows that of another which occurred a week ago, November 24, where three armed masked men robbed Riteway Supermarket East End's branch.

The assailants of this robbery are still at large.

Previous Article Published December 2 - Man Shot In East End

A male person was injured in a shooting in the East End area this evening, Friday, December 2, 2016.

The victim is said to be receiving treatment, but it is unclear as to the extent of his injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time.

More details will be provided as information becomes available.

This shooting comes two weeks after the fatal shooting of Estavan Jefferson, who was gunned down execution style at the Stickette in Long Long. No arrest has been made in that shooting.

Also, last evening, police confirmed that they are investigating an incident where the driver of a vehicle along with another occupant escaped injuries after gunmen opened fire on the vehicle.
