Students of the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) brought their ‘A’ game during renditions at last evening's Annual Christmas Concert, Saturday, December 3.
Parents, faculty and supporters were amazed by the performance of the students who played instruments and sang.
The event, which started after 8:00 pm at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall, saw both junior and senior level students taking the stage to deliver amazing performances, with a traditional and modern twist.
(PLTM) - Several students had their time to shine, as the crowd was wowed by the few solo performances.
The Christmas concert is one of two yearly concerts that the school hosts, to showcase to parents and the community, the hard work the students are putting in throughout the year.
According to Mrs. Margie Webb- Headley, Head of the Music Department and Choir Director, the music programme is a very important one to the students of the high school, as it teaches discipline and teamwork.
“It also had been proven that playing an instrument works both sides of the brain, so the students involved in this program are more inclined to do well in academics," she related.
