(PLTM) - During the last games of the year, One Love gave all they had to secure their most recent win, 1 nil against Sugar Boys last weekend, December 10 at the A. O. Shirley Recreational Grounds.
This win secured One Love 5th place on the standings in this year’s BVI Football Association Men’s League.
Both One Love and Old Madrid (6th place) hold 12 points, but are separated because of goal difference.
Other games over the weekend saw the Panthers securing a win, due to Wolues Football Club forfeiting the match, along with the cancellation of a match between Rebels and Old Madrid, due to a power outage.
The unbeatable Islanders gained an extra 3 points after Virgin Gorda United was unable to play their match due to insufficient players.
Now with 30 points, Islanders are ahead of the Sugar Boys by 9 points. The Rebels fall in third on the score board, with Wolues coming behind in fourth.
Heading into the Christmas break, Kenmore Peters is still the top scorer with 10 goals, while Richard Morgan has 9, Kevin Fisher 8 and Kevin Carragher 7.
There are only 5 games left for the season.
