(PLTM) - A young man died following an accident last evening, January 16 on the Sir Francis Drake Highway, directly adjacent the Treasure Isle Hotel.
Dead is Kyle Frank, also known as ‘Coochie’ of Purcell Estate.
According to details reaching BVI Platinum News, the 26 year-old lost control of his scooter and slammed into a pole on the highway.
"Police can confirm a traffic fatality as a result of an apparent lone scooter accident around midnight last night," police spokeswoman, Ms. Diane Drayton told BVI Platinum News.
His death brings about a cloud of sorrow over the Territory, as persons take to social media to offer good wishes and condolences to his family.
Politician and Representative for the Sixth District, Mrs. Alvera Maduro-Caines also offered words of sincerity.
“This is a sad morning for me as I mourn the loss of a very good friend. Kyle, you will always remain in my heart. Your smile when you see me will be a constant memory in my mind. RIP my young friend. Z6ne, love you much. We will get through this.”
Police are currently investigating the matter.
