(PLTM) - Senior football teams engaged in the BVI Football Association National League, are putting their mathematics skills to test, calculating and devising strategies to dethrone the unbeatable Islanders Football Club before the final whistle is blown in a couple weeks. With Islander's performance for this year’s 2016-17 football season, where the team has never lost a match, the championship and bragging tittle is already in the team's favor. Currently, Islanders are leading the charts with a total of 36 points, with Sugar Boys F.C straddling behind with 27 points. Most recently, on January 22, Islanders secured another win, 1 nil against Old Madrid. The lone goal of the game came in the 48th minute from the league’s leading scorer, Kevin Fisher. With a few more games to go, Sugar Boys F.C still has a chance to overthrow Islanders, if they play their cards right. The team continues to climb the scoreboard, especially with their most recent 2-1 win against Panthers. The winning goals came compliments of Terrence Nanton and Keron Daniel. The Rebels remain in third place, thanks to their recent 3-1 win over Woloues. One Love completes the top four pack, following their recent 2 nil win against Virgin Gorda United.
