Hon. Marlon Penn walked away with top prizes and bragging rights after his team of local celebrities defeated another team coached by Hon. Myron Walwyn, 47-41.

The basketball match played last Friday, February 17 at the Belle Vue Gym, saw various Dj’s, artists and members of various bands, split up into two teams.

The match officially opened this year's annual District Six Basketball Tournament, hosted by Hon. Alvera Maduro-Caines.

(PLTM) - According to the organizing committee of the event, the match was an effort to promote unity within the music industry, in addition to raising funds for a local charity.

This year’s celebrity match up game is the first of its kind since the league's inception.

A new addition to the league is a boys' division, where 5 teams from high schools around the Territory now have a chance to compete.
