(PLTM) - Marcus Lake and Sheldon Harry were selected from among dozens of youth players to travel to Trinidad in hopes of winning the grand prize of a trip to watch a Premiere League game featuring Manchester United at Old Trafford, courtesy of Flow's Ultimate Football Experience.

The preliminary selection process was held in the BVI on Saturday, March 18 at the A. O Shirley Ground and provided an opportunity for both boys and girls to showcase their talent. With inspiring words from Flow's brand ambassador, Ashley Kelly, participants took to the field in an effort to impress coaches.

In the end, Lake and Harry scored highly.

Lake's dad, Richard is Chairman of the BVI Football Association's Youth Committee, and he described it as a wonderful experience for the youth players provided by Flow.

"It really gives them something to look forward to; children want to have things to look forward and the more we have events like this with international prizes, it develops a drive to practice and train. I hope Flow will continue to do this on an annual basis," Lake stated.

Cathy Caine, a mom who cheered from the sideline, was impressed with the entire event.

"I think it is an amazing opportunity Flow has given them and it has also gives these youth incentives to come out and do more training sessions to become better at a sport. a lot of them know each other, train together, and to actually give them a focus."

"This is just an amazing opportunity. They have been the opportunity to master certain skills to advance so doing all these different things and being able to participate in something like this gives them a broader spectrum of where they can go and where they need to be able to advance to other levels," Caine stated.

Ravindra Maywahlall, Head of Commercial at FLOW BVI said the company is delighted to support football and offer a once in a lifetime opportunity for youth in the Territory.

"The lucky winners will be going to Trinidad and they will then have the opportunity of winning a trip to the UK to watch Manchester United play a premier league match at Old Trafford later this year," Maywahlall stated.

He pointed out that Flow has supported sports, education and young people in the BVI for many years and this was another great opportunity for us to provide local youngsters with an experience they will hopefully remember for a lifetime.
