(PLTM) - Four beauties from around the Territory are gearing up to prove that size doesn’t matter when it comes to confidence, beauty, intellect and talent.
The four ladies, Sylvanna Charles, Monique Chapdelaine, Hakiema Matthew and Khadija Clarke will set the stage this coming Saturday, March 25 in the 2017 Miss Bold and Beautiful Pageant in Virgin Gorda, under the theme, ‘Heaven On Earth’.
The pageant, which is a premier event for the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival, will see the contestants compete in a number of segments---introduction, swimwear, talent and evening wear.
Speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the festival, Ms. Adrianna Soverall, she said the show is one of the most anticipated shows of the festival this year.
“We haven’t had a Miss Bold and Beautiful in a long time, in five years, so people are really excited to see the show come back.”
She noted that the girls will put on an amazing show and will shut down all notions that size matters in pageantry.
“I think the idea of the show has now moved away from it being unconventional. Plus size girls have come a long way and these girls are ready and will prove that no matter what size you are, once you are capable of performing, delivering and showcasing talent, anyone can be a queen.”
