(PLTM) - The remaining teams of all divisions went head to head in the BDO Primary and High School football finals on March 22 at the A. O. Shirley Recreational Grounds, with the top teams coming out victorious, claiming their respective titles.

In the under 7 division, Ceder Green defeated Montessori, 3-1, as a result of penalty goals. At the time of the final whistle, the game was deadlocked at 0-0.

In the under 9 division, Althea Scatliffe defeated Robinson O’Neal with a lone goal.

A very skillful goal sealed the deal for Cedar School’s win in the under 12 category, defeating Bregado Flax 1 nil.

Top players of each division were also named as the most valuable players (MVP)---Ethan Mohammed for Cedar Green in the under 7, Latriel Williams for Althea Scatliffe in the under 9 and Nicky Haycraft of Cedar School in the under 12.

The Golden Glove recipients of the league were Steven Portus of Enid Scatliffe – under 7, Akeem Paddy of Althea Scatliffe – under 9, and Ollie Henderson of Cedar School - under 12.

The Golden Boot honorees were Sam Potgeiter of Montesorri – under 7, Jaden Quashie of Robinson O’Neal – under 9 and Azarni Callwood of Cedar School – under 12.

In addition to all the Primary School trophies, the High School champions also received their awards with Jakisha Rigobert of Brigado Flax being named as the girls MVP.

Kaylah Skelton of Bregado Flax and Lilly Pierce of Cedar were jointly awarded with the Golden Boots of the league, while Davian Williams received the Golden Gloves.

Bregado Flax were also highlighted as League Champions.

For the boys, Bregado Flax secured the league championship trophy of the Avanell “Clarky” Morton Cup, and also saw their own, Diego Jimenez being named as MVP, as well as being awarded the Golden Gloves.

Chadwick Evans Elmore Stout High School took home the Golden Boots Trophy.

In the U14 tournament, Elmore Stoutt was declared champions and along with the trophy, was also presented with the President's Cup, which they won as part of the opening day celebrations, back in October 2016.

The Golden Boot went to Jahdique Winchester of Bregado Flax, while MVP went to Sheldon Harry and Golden Glove to Glenford Prentice, both of the Elmore Stoutt High School.
