(PLTM) - The Road Town Senior Citizens' Centre benefited from a kind gesture, by the Wellness Centre Behavioural Health Clinic, in the form of a TV.

Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Michael A. Turnbull, who handed over the TV to the centre today, May 26, said that the clinic is fulfilling a promise made.

"Last year we held our camp here at the centre, and we noticed that the senior citizens had a very small TV. So we made a promise to donate one to the seniors, and to the centre, and this is just a fulfillment of that promise," he told BVI Platinum News.

Shirma George, Programme Director for Aged Care Services, expressed gratitude for the donation.

"On behalf of the Chief of Social Development Department, Mrs. Annie Malone-Frett, I would like to say thank you to Dr. Turnbull and his team for donating this TV to the seniors programme."

She said, "It's something that is on their wish list."

The 28th annual Senior Citizens' Month activities are currently underway throughout the Territory. This year's theme is, 'Age Out Loud’.
