Vandals Slash TV Cables

(PLTM) - The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is currently investigating a matter, where persons are maliciously damaging televisions cables in the West End area of the island.

According to BVI Cable TV, the incident has occurred three times this month, with the most recent occurrence being yesterday, June 20.

As a result of the tampering, persons from Meyers to West End are unable to access cable channels for some time.

Via their social media page, the company posted, “This malicious act has caused another great inconvenience to our customers and we sincerely apologize.”

The company’s General Manager declined to comment on the matter.

Other companies in the Territory have fallen victim to this act of vandalism in the past. The most recent being in December 2016, when vandals slashed approximately 13 network cables for BVI Flow.
