BVI Takes Crown At OECS Championships

(PLTM) - The winning streak for the British Virgin Islands continues with the Territory’s athletic ambassadors dominating the Organization of Eastern Caribbean (OECS) 3rd Track and Field Championships, held over the weekend in Grenada.

As a result of the team's performance, BVI was able to secure a total of twenty-one medals, ahead of host country, Grenada, who earned second place.

The local team’s overall score count was made up of ten gold, eight silver and three bronze medals.

BVI went up against teams from seven other countries, including St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla and Dominica.
