This is the final day of preparation for the young contenders in the 2017 Prince and Princess Pageant. The pageant will be held tomorrow, Sunday, July 23, at the Sir Rupert Briercliff Hall in Road Town.

The pageant this year will see a total of 12 contestants, six girls and six boys, from four schools, the Althea Scatliffe Primary School, Cedar International, Bregado Flax Educational Centre and Ivan Dawson Primary School.

Going head to head will be, for the boys, Sherwood Charles (ASPS), Adrian Gilbert (ASPS), Christian Sommersal (ASPS), Jaban Pemberton (ASPS), Xhayne Pemberton (ASPS) and Tai Thomas (Cedar). For the girls, Anaya Findley (Bregado), Tyasia Cameron (ASPS), Emoyan Matthew (ASPS), Lyriq Rhymer (IDPS), Tehilla Hitchinson (ASPS) and Ashonte brewleyy (ASPS).

The contestants took to the streets yesterday, July 21, in a motorcade, reminding persons of the show, displaying inviting smiles and welcoming waves.

In an earlier interview with chairperson of the pageant committee, Jaynene Jno Lewis, she said the show is going to be an amazing one, with exciting additions.

(PLTM) - “The show is going to be so amazing that we are expanding our seating.”

Regarding new additions, she said that persons would be treated to a sponsors parade prior to the actual staging of the show.

“Hours before the show, we are going to have a grand parade, just to say thank you to our sponsors. It's going to be fun. We will have the animated characters and troupes, and much more.”

She also noted that a new segment has been added to the show.

“I can’t give out all our surprises, but we also have a new segment in the show. The new secret segment is called Triple S. Persons will find out more on the night of the show.”
