(PLTM) - Residents who have lost personal property items as a result of the passage of the Tropical Wave on August 7, are advised that they can file recovery claims on essential items with the Department of Disaster Management (DDM), government said on Friday, August 18.

Additionally, small business owners who do not currently have insurance and are in need of assistance are also advised that claims can be filed with the department.

Residents are further advised that limited support will be provided for immediate recovery efforts.

To file a claim, persons are asked to visit the Department of Disaster Management at #3 Wailing Road, MacNamara, Road Town, Tortola.

Following the devastating flood, several businesses and homes were severely affected.
