Teen Charged In Connection With String Of Burglaries

(PLTM) - An 18 year-old male has been charged for burglarising several businesses and will soon be brought before the court.

Rockey Haripersaud of Purcell Estate was arrested and charged in relation to several burglaries that occurred within a two-week span.

According to a police press release, the young man also attempted to burgle a fourth establishment close to his Purcell Estate home.

“The teenager was charged with illegally entering Cabbage Beauty Spa, Fort Gardens Centre, Bobb’s Gas Station and attempting to illegally enter One-Mart Superstore within a two-week timespan. The burglary spree ended with his arrest over the weekend,” the release stated.

An investigation is still ongoing and the statement indicates that he will be kept in police custody until his court appearance.
