Veteran fisherman, Alfredo Delville was recognized during this year's Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta where the fisherman's tournament was named in honour of Mr. Delville.
Hon. Andrew Fahie, First District Representative spoke highly of Mr. Delville.
"He has a lot of qualities that I respect and admire and I want to say congratulations to Mr. Delville this evening. We love you and let us give him a round of applause for keeping our culture alive in fishing and in many other aspects," Hon. Fahie stated.

Delville's grandson, Jeremy Williams said as the blood runs through Delville's veins, so does the love and passion for fishing.
He said his grandfather started fishing some fifty years ago; however, he has been fishing on a regular or daily basis for a little over thirty years.
Also receiving awards were the fishermen who took part in the tournament and they included Smith Robin, who had the most catch with 250lbs; Milton Farrington with 51lbs; and Kelvin Smith with the biggest catch, a 15lbs snapper.
Smith Robin of Road Town called out fishermen in Carrot Bay and urged them to take part in the tournament next year.
