BVI's own and X Factor USA season one winner, Melanie Amaro has released her first music video for her debut single, 'Don't Fail Me Now'. The video premiered on Friday, October 19.
Amaro won the $5 million prize and was signed to Epic Records label following her X Factor win last December.
'Don't Fail Me Now' is the first song from Amaro's upcoming debut studio album with Epic Records.
According to reports, the song has received mixed reviews from music critics, who praised the vocal performance, but criticized the use of auto-tune.
In the video, Amaro finds herself having feelings for a young man and hopes for the best as she walks down the road of life.
In a comment to Aceshowbiz, Amaro said, "The song definitely describes the journey that I've had through life and throughout X Factor; the determination of my feet that they can't fail me, I gotta get to where I need to be". "My life has changed now because I walk down the street and it's like, 'Oh my God, you're Melanie Amaro'."
Amaro recently tweeted, "Hey, go watch my new music video "don't fail me now" on YouTube and vevo! Thanks for the love and support."
Amaro's debut album is due in December via Epic Records.
