8 Years Jail Time For Man Who Sexually Assaulted Stepdaughter

A man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his 14 year-old stepdaughter was sent to jail for eight years by High Court Judge, Justice Albert Redhead this morning, July 10.

The man, who is 35 years old, was initially charged with indecent assault and buggery. However, recently he pleaded guilty to buggery and the indecent assault charge was dropped by the crown.

The incident took place between July 2011 and September 2011.

During his arraignment in the Magistrate's Court in late September 2011, it was stated that the child was sleeping one evening when she woke up to him performing sexual acts on her. It was stated that at one time, he offered her $50.00 to have sex with him and stated that his wife did not have sex with him for a while.

The matter came to light when the child visited her biological father in her homeland in late July 2011, where she confided in him about what took place.

In September 2011, it was stated by the prosecution that the child has since been removed from the home.

The name of the defendant was withheld to protect the identity of the victim. In the Magistrate's Court in September 2011 when the man was arraigned, the sitting Magistrate ordered that the name be withheld to protect the identity of the child.

Jesus die for sinner's, not the righteous. many of you out there did some kind of sin and need to go jail for life. am not saying that what he did is right but sin is sin in God eye's and we need forgiveness right? ( RIGHT )

There need to be a sexual offenders register... I am sorry but as a mother with children,, we need to know when we meet these men ( as many clean them selves up, start going church etc) if they have a history of abusing/raping/molesting children.

If he is from here we need to know because when he gets out so we can protect our children. If he is not from here he should be marched striaght to the airport and deported back to where he came from.

Name them and shame them! While I understand the minor's need for privacy on this matter, who knows if he would not try it again. Other children also need to be protected from this man and the many others who do this.

why someone name have to be there? all have sin and come short. all of us need to be in jail, of some kind of sin we did, sorry to say it that way but God is love and we must do the same. when someone kill we have it as safe all have sin ok?

Are you sure about this? She was a child! he was not 17 or 18 his *** was 35 Yes I have done things wrong with no consequences but some things we just should not do and this is close to the top of the list. I want you to tell us how you would feel if she was your daughter.

I belive come on is a bit confused about this. Yes, we have all sinned. But this individual is potentially harmful to vunerable members of our community and as such they should be exposed and dealt with.
