For the first time since its formation, Showtime Band has released an album entirely dedicated to the Emancipation Festival celebrations.
The reigning five-time road march champions christened their new album, 'Represent Our Festival'. The album was released on Tuesday, but is not not yet available in stores.
Roger Frank, Manager of the band told BVI Platinum News that the album is mainly paying homage to the time of the year and it is also fan driven.
He noted that on the cover of the album, there is a picture of a dedicated fan.
Frank said the album is versatile and contains up-tempo and mid-tempo, along with some slow selections.
The album has 11 tracks and according to Frank, at least six of the songs have already hit the airwaves, receiving good feedback from fans.
Some of the songs include 'Exercise', 'Special Request', Shake De Bottle', 'Dance Floor' and 'Not Normal'.
Meanwhile, Frank said he is confident that the band will be able to retain the Road March title for the sixth consecutive year, noting that while he is aware that they have strong competitors, one of the songs from the new album will take them to victory.
