Two persons are said to be hospitalized following a collision that included a scooter and a green SUV in the Hannah's Estate area shortly after 3:00 pm this afternoon, August 5.

Sources said that the rider and his pillion rider were injured in the accident when the scooter slammed into the green SUV. One source described the two as "young men".

The mangled scooter was still at the scene and Police were taking measurements when BVI Platinum News arrived on the scene. The green SUV was also still on location.

Police officials could not be reached immediately to confirm the extent of the injuries to the two persons.

These scooters yes tiresome things. Why do they attract such bad drivers.
Why is it that we can all see them overtaking on blind corners, darting through traffic endangering pedestrians, driving too fast, too close without the required helmets and to the police they are invisible.
Need to stop... more
