Despite a late start, revelers delivered to a large crowd which lined the streets of East End/Long Look for the annual festival parade this afternoon, August 8.
Like previous years, some of the troupes were a repeat of Monday's Road Town August Festival Parade, with a few additions.
There were also the usual well choreographed dances, which were much to the delight of the crowd; mocko jumbies; Delta Petroleum; and recently crowned queens, including Miss BVI 2012 Sharie de Castro.
Moviene Fahie and her donkey led the parade.
This year 'Limping Jack' had a different message; one against gun crime with a photograph of Keri Harrigan, who was gunned down execution style in Long Look in March of 2011.
The parade ended at the Moviene Fahie Festiville where Razor Blades, Sweet-Ta-Band and Pumpa and De Unit Band will provide entertainment in the village.
