Joel Fahie has admitted that he unlawfully had in his possession 77.7 grams of cannabis, but denied Police claims that he had intentions of supplying the drugs to others.
Today, August 28, Fahie pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of cannabis [77.7 grams] and not guilty to unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Senior Prosecutor Christlyn Benjamin told the court that despite the guilty plea on one of the charges, the crown intends to proceed on the intent to supply charge. She then asked for another reporting date.
Fahie will have to return to court on October 17 and he remains on bail.
It is prosecution's case that on July 18 in the Joe's Hill area, Police Officers saw Fahie and after noticing the officers, Fahie threw a black bag into a nearby bin. Officers then found the black bag which contained 43 dime bags and $550.00 was also found on Fahie.
