A Facebook page has been set up for family and friends to express their tributes in memory of the late Brandon George, 18, who died from injuries he sustained following an accident on the James Walter Francis Drive last Thursday, September 27.
"This is a page in memory of Brandon, our friend, classmate/brother and everything else in between. It is a page where we can express our love to him. (R.I.P Brandon)," the author of the page stated.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:00 am, a few yards away from the Upper Level Bar at Port Purcell in the eastbound lane of the James Walter Francis Drive.
George succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Peebles Hospital a few hours after the accident.
Information suggests that George was proceeding east when a pickup [PV 18629] driven by Answorth Eusebe, 35, attempted to turn onto the dual carriageway.
When BVI Platinum News arrived on the scene, the scooter [MC 809] was seen lying across the road with visible damage. At the scene, a splattering of blood could be seen along the road.
The page had over 900 likes as of today, October 2 and several tributes have also been posted. George's photos are also featured on the page, along with photos of Trey Erickson, who died in a scooter accident in March 2011.
