Police have confirmed the stabbing of a man at his apartment in the Settlement of Anegada on Saturday morning, October 6.
According to police, two men have since been charged in relation to the stabbing incident of the man, who is a Dominican Republic national residing on Anegada.
Charged with aggravated burglary are Kenny Francis, 35, a resident of Anegada and Kasem Benti, 34 of Long Bay, West End.
Police stated that preliminary inquiries indicated that both men entered the victim's apartment on Anegada through a window during the early hours of Saturday morning. On exiting the premises, the assailant inflicted a stab wound to the lower abdomen of the victim while he was asleep.
The victim was first treated at the Anegada clinic and then transported to Peebles Hospital. He has since been released from the hospital.
Additional charges are likely to be filed against the men in relation to the incident.
Police are continuing their investigations.
