Tropical storm Rafael is moving further away from the northeast Caribbean. The tropical storm warning has been lifted. However a large band of clouds remains over the islands.
Wx: Cloudy to overcast skies with showers and the occasional outbreak of thunderstorms will continue over the British Virgin Islands today and tonight.
Some of the showers are expected to be moderate to heavy and could lead to flash flooding over low lying areas. Therefore a flash flood warning remains in effect until noon when a further review of conditions will be made.
Winds: Northwest and west 10 - 16 kts.
Seas: Moderate to rough; swells 6 - 8 ft or 1.8 - 2.5 M. A small craft advisory remains in effect..

The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is currently monitoring the system and will provide updates accordingly.
