Two Corporate Giants are sponsors
Capital Productions, the group known throughout the Virgin Islands for its charitable works has today launched a brand new 2009 Mitsubishi Zinger, which is one of the fastest growing SUVs in sales in the Asian and European markets to be raffled.
Chairman of Capital Productions, David A. Abednego said he was very pleased to be teaming up with two Virgin Islands Corporate giants, Scotiabank (BVI) Limited and Tola-Mitsubishi Motors to offer a brand new car to the public to be raffled as part of the lead up to the 2010 Car Show and Exhibition. The raffle will be drawn at the Car Show which is scheduled for Saturday, 31st July, 2010 at the Old Recreation Grounds (Soft Ball Field), located in Long Bush, Road Town.
Mr. Abednego further announced that a portion of the proceeds from this car raffle will be committed to the elderly, education programmes by way of schools as well as for persons in need of medical attention.
Also speaking at the launching were Lynette Smith, Branch Manager of Scotiabank and Bruce Wong Managing Director of Tola-Mitsubishi Motors. Both Managers praised the charity works of Capital Productions and were proud to be a part of the raffle particularly, because portions of the proceeds will be donated to local charities, hence back to the community.
Ms. Smith reminded the public of some of the services provided by Scotiabank including a Visa Debit Card which can be used internationally. Additionally, she announced that Scotiabank (BVI) Ltd., is the only bank in the British Virgin Islands with an express line for persons over 65 years of age, teachers and members of the House of Assembly.
Mr. Wong reminded the public about the grand car sale to take place this Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Festival Grounds in Road Town, from 9am to 3pm where many new and innovative products will be featured.
Capital Productions members, Julian Willock, Ingrid A. Moses-Scatliffe and David D. Archer also made presentations.
Raffle tickets which are a mere $5.00 each, can be purchased from Scotiabank´s main branch on Wickhams Cay I, Tola-Mitsubishi Motors at Fish Bay and any Capital Productions member. Later in the year (mid-December) the car will be on display at the Wickhams Cay Service Station next to the roundabout where tickets will also be available once the Zinger goes on display at that location. Currently, the brand new SUV is on display in front of Scotiabank´s main branch on Wickhams Cay I.
Every year for the past ten (10) years Capital Productions has donated a portion of its proceeds from this and other events to local charities.
The 2010 BVI Official August Festival Car Show and Exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, 31st July, 2010 at the Old Recreation Grounds in Long Bush. The Car Show and Exhibition has already been dubbed, `The King Of All Car Shows´.
