5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Felt In BVI

(PLTM) - The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) confirmed that on Friday afternoon, April 6, after 5.00 pm, an earthquake magnitude of 5.2 was felt in the BVI.

"Preliminary information update #2 –Earthquake magnitude – 5.2," DDM stated.

Location: 18.8 north, longitude: 64.7 west or 16 miles west of Anegada, depth: 10 miles.

"No tsunami warning , watches or advisories issued for this event. More updates to follow."

A number of residents rushed to Facebook to share their experience, describing it as a 'huge' shake up.
