One person is in police custody in connection with the shooting on Virgin Gorda (VG) Tuesday afternoon, July 10. The victim, Rudy Vanterpool is said to be in a serious, but stable condition.

“The suspect is being held for questioning at the Virgin Gorda Police Station. The one male injured in the incident and taken to Peebles Hospital is said to be in a stable condition,” police said in a statement.

As reported earlier, the victim was shot multiple times in North Valley. He was then transported to Road Town for medical attention.

Police said that investigations are ongoing in the matter.

A man was rushed to Road Town for medical attention, after he was shot multiple times on Virgin Gorda this afternoon, July 10.

According to information, the incident occurred in North Valley.

It is believed that he received more than two gunshot wounds.

The circumstances which led to the incident are unknown at this time.
