Man Charged For Attempted Murder In VG Shooting

Police charged Dillion Thomas with attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Police charged Dillion Thomas, 28, of Petty Pasture, North Valley, Virgin Gorda with attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, in connection with the shooting on Virgin Gorda on Tuesday afternoon.

Police in a press release stated that Thomas, who was arrested shortly after the incident on Virgin Gorda, is scheduled to appear in Magistrate’s Court this morning.

A male resident of Virgin Gorda, Rudy Vanterpool, was taken to Peebles Hospital following the shooting incident with gunshot wounds.

He is in stable condition, but continues to receive treatment for his injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing in the matter.
