VG Easter Fest 2K19 Culminates With Parade

[gallery]Yesterday, April 22, the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival 2019 ended with a downscaled Easter Monday Parade.

However, despite the decrease in the flair of the event, persons still turned out in their numbers to participate in the final day of the festival celebrations.

Scores of persons lined the streets to look on, while many opted to participate in the parade, decked out in colourful outfits and costumes.

Some persons even opted to continue the fun of the Rise and Shine Tramp by reveling with a rainbow of paints, while some could be seen dancing under showers of water front stage of an event where It’s A Secret Band was performing en-route to the Festival Village.

(PLTM) - Officials who were on the Sister Island for the events, such as Premier, Hon. Andrew Fahie, District Nine Representative, Hon. Vincent Wheatley and Minister responsible for Culture, Hon. Dr. Natalio Wheatley, have all spoken of the importance of the Easter Festival to the BVI culture.

Meanwhile, some onlookers commented that while the change in the parade is disheartening, they understand the need for the cutback in spending as the territory is still recovering from the impact of the 2017 disasters.
