(PLTM) - The upcoming Youth Parliament session will be debating whether the BVI should have a coalition government.

Speaker of the House of Assembly Hon. Julian Willock said the sitting will take place on November 30.

“I am pleased to announce that the special select management committee of Elected Members for the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament (VIYP) has met and agreed to the Second Sitting of the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament to take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 6:00PM,” the Speaker said yesterday September 22. He said, “the topic will be: Is a Coalition Government the best choice for the Virgin Islands?”

Speaker Willock stated that the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament Government side will debate against the motion and the VIYP Opposition will support the question.

“I look forward to hearing from our young parliamentarians as they debate this topic,” he said.
