The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is investigating a domestic-related incident involving a firearm that was reported on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
As part of the investigation, a Police Constable was arrested for questioning and has since been interdicted from duty pending the outcome of the matter. The officer’s identity is being withheld as no charges have been laid.
The RVIPF said investigations are ongoing and further updates will be provided when necessary.
Acting Commissioner Jacqueline Vanterpool assured the public of the force’s commitment to investigating and prosecuting any wrongdoing involving police officers or other public officers.
