Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a popular business establishment in the Tortola Pier Park.
According to a statement issued by the Police Information Office of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), preliminary reports indicate that masked men armed with firearms entered the establishment and stole jewellery before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
The RVIPF also confirmed that shots were reportedly fired during the incident. However, no injuries have been reported.
Officers were deployed to the area shortly after the robbery and investigations remain ongoing.
The police said further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
