(PLTM) - The project to build a temporary structure to house the Magistrate’s Court at John’s Hole is progressing, and is set to be fully completed in a month’s time.

Following the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria in September of last year, the court suffered extensive damage, forcing criminal matters to be heard at other locations, including the Road Town Police Station and Supreme Court/House of Assembly building.

The project is being funded by the United Kingdom (UK) government.

Future plans for the court is to have extensive reconstruction done on the original building, which will be funded through the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) Rapid Recovery Loan.
