Jamaican Nabbed With Cocaine At Airport

A Jamaican man was arrested at the TB Lettsome International Airport at Beef Island, on suspicion of smuggling drugs into the Territory.

According to information, the man arrived in the BVI earlier this week, but was unable to clear his suitcase. However, when he returned for his suitcase the following day (Wednesday), Customs Officers discovered a large quantity of cocaine in the suitcase.

He was immediately arrested.

How did he managed to make it all the way here from Jamaica with a large quantity of drugs without anyone noticing it in the first place. Doesn't he /bag have to go through screening at some point in time? Also why could he not clear the bag when he arrived? The right officer wasn't there? Hmmmmm all of this sounds shady to me.
