Detectives have charged Gideon Quow of Thomas Land for robbery in connection with a recent armed robbery in the area of Brandywine Bay.

According to police record, one man reported that two men held him at gunpoint in the Brandywine Bay area and forced him to give up his money.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police said that last Thursday, Brandon Riley of North Road, the Valley, Virgin Gorda, was charged with attempting to unlawfully discharge a firearm, possession of an offensive weapon and common assault. This is after he was identified as the individual who made a failed attempt at shooting another male. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr. Alwin James again highlighted the continuous need to reduce the occurrence of these firearm incidents. He reminded young persons that a life of violence will destroy their future or could result in untimely deaths.
