(PLTM) - Detectives have not ruled out that the early Monday morning slaying at Brady Ghut could be linked to last night’s shooting, which has left one Fahie Hill resident dead.

According to police, officers are however right now keeping all lines of inquiry open.

Kareem Ettiene, 24, one of BVI's national rugby players, was pronounced dead after receiving gunshots wounds while in his home just before 10pm last night. No one else was injured in this incident.

Before daybreak yesterday morning Tyrone Thomas, 30, of Greenland was pronounced dead at the scene after his body was taken from the driver’s seat of his vehicle. A female passenger who was also in the same vehicle is presently in hospital receiving treatment for gunshot wounds. She is in stable condition.

Detective Inspector Joe Goff of the Major Crime Team said that, his officers are prepared to follow any leads at this stage in the investigations.

“We are very open to any lines of inquiry that could shed light on why these young men had to lose their lives in such a tragic way – in less than 24 hours of each other," Goff said.

The Detective Inspector went on to add, "They are both well known in their circle of influence and therefore we expect many to know the circumstances, the contributing factors and even the perpetrators of these homicides. We are interested in any information that can help us to quickly bring about arrests in these cases."
