No Visitors Allowed For Speech From The Throne

(PLTM) - Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Julian Willock has announced that no visitors will be allowed during the annual Speech of the Throne, slated for Tuesday, 18th January 2022.

The announcement was made on Friday, January 14.

It said: “Due to the spike in COVID-19 in the Territory, the Hon. Speaker of the House of Assembly is restricting visitors to the gallery for the Speech from the Throne…Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, no invitations will be sent out to the public or Public Officers.”

It continued: “Residents are strongly encouraged to listen to the Speech from the Throne and the House Sitting of Tuesday, 18th January 2022 via ZBVI 780 AM, CBN 90.0 FM, @BVIGovernment (Government of the Virgin Islands Facebook), House of Assembly Youtube (House of Assembly VI), @HOABVI (House of Assembly of the Virgin Islands Facebook) and Flow TV Channel 101. If you have questions, please call 468 6980 Ext. 6920.”

The Speech from the Throne will be delivered by His Excellency Governor John Rankin.
