(PLTM) - Police Information Office - Press Release - Sunday, July 28, 2024

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male found on an inflatable dinghy near Great Camanoe shortly after 7 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Jamal Freeman of Long Look. His family was notified and provided the necessary support during this difficult time.

The RVIPF is appealing to the boating community and the general public for any information that could assist this investigation.

If you were near Great Camanoe during the early hours of July 27 or have any relevant information, please come forward. Persons can confidently call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-8477 (TIPS) or the RVIPF Intelligence Department at 368-9339. All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The RVIPF extends our deepest condolences to Jamal Freeman's family and friends.
